How we began
Our family’s process of crafting daily meals in our Vermont farm kitchen from home grown and local ingredients, using recipes gathered from worldwide cooking traditions, has given us an appreciation for fresh and flavorful foods. During periods of travel family members were finding it challenging to procure snacks and meals of comparable quality and flavor to those eaten at home.
Proviant Foods was launched to make available to others those delicious treats and pantry staples we have come to enjoy on our farm. Vermont Tea Cookies, our first product, are great for snacks, school lunches, and for accompanying a cup of coffee or tea. Perfect to lift the spirits and satiate a little hunger!
